Communication
As a school we communicate generally to our Parents via email or text. This is done via a website called ‘ParentMail’.
Along with other important school information, fortnightly we issue a school newsletter, this is distributed via ParentMail email and also handed out by the member of staff on duty on the gate at the end of the school day. Termly class newsletters are distributed via your childs bookbag.
All emailed correspondence will be sent to the address which you gave on the new admissions form to school which you will complete when a place is offered to your child.
Points for your Information
Please would you supply a copy of your child's last report or pre-school transfer notes along with the results of any assessments made at the end of the last academic year.
There is a notice-board in the playground where dates for the week and other information is to be found.
Each class holds a ‘Planning Meeting’ at the start of the new term; these are so that you know the topics and projects that are to be taught and to fill you in on routines such as homework. The dates for these meetings are on the newsletter issued today. A letter containing all this information will be sent home as a class newsletter at the end of next week should you be unable to attend the meeting.
We have an open door policy in the school; please feel free to pop in if you have any problem. If it can wait until the end of the day, teachers prefer to see parents then if at all possible.
We have a flourishing PTA who hold an AGM in September of each year. You automatically become a member of the PTA when your child starts at Blackboys and the PTA are always keen for as much parental input as possible.
